Welcome to the Cherrywood Village Community Series #1

Welcome to the very first edition of the Cherrywood Village community series, over the next number of months we will be sharing updates, progress and a behind the scenes look at the unveiling and development of Cherrywood Village, Ireland’s best connected new village.

Attracting more than 30,000 website visitors and making headlines on The Irish Times, RTE, The Journal and many more, Cherrywood Village is undoubtedly one of the most talked-about new residential developments to come to Dublin in recent months.

With more than 1,300 new homes planned by 2025, the ambitious plan started in July 2019 when Quintain Ireland acquired 120 acres of land at Cherrywood – a designated Strategic Development Zone that is expected to become a future residential & financial centre in Dublin, neighbouring Dundrum and Sandyford.

With experience in developing the renowned Wembley Park in London – one of Europe’s biggest regeneration projects, Quintain aims to set a new standard for liveability in Ireland by creating a resident-focused suburb where all daily needs are within a walkable distance. Where you can get away from it all, but stay completely connected! A major focus of the masterplan conceived in partnership with Fletcher Priest Architects was to create a new neighbourhood with schools and local shops in an amazing natural setting, a sustainable place to live and work and a place that is a hybrid of city and landscape, providing residents the best of both worlds!

After a year of planning, we officially launched Cherrywood Village on 8th October 2020 by unveiling for the first time to the public the hugely ambitious masterplan of this grand scheme. Our vision is to build 1,300 new homes by 2025 on a 65-acre site with 2 major public parks, a number of both primary and secondary schools, 27 acres of green space and a state-of-the-art retail and civic centre. Cherrywood Village will be the most connected new village in Ireland with easy access to 3 Luas stops, multiple bus routes as well as easy access to the M50 and N11 and in close proximity to the Dart. The new village was designed to create a diverse new community that will be easily accessible by public transport, with a strong emphasis on sustainable development that protects existing heritage sites
Eddie Byrne – Joint Managing Director of Quintain Ireland.

After the successful launch, planning applications have been made for a mix of houses, duplexes and apartments with further plans in progress. We are seeking permissions and expecting to commence construction of the first homes in early 2021.

We hope you enjoyed the first edition of the Cherrywood Village community series. Be sure to follow us on social media and sign up to our mailing list if you wish to receive further updates on Cherrywood Village and its progress over the coming months.
